Soar over the Singapore River in an open-air capsule, scale a craggy quarry, or be flown around in style and take in bird’s-eye views of our landmarks—there are many ways to defy gravity in Singapore. Here are six of them.
Singapore Heli Services
Ever wanted to be a pilot soaring around the skyscrapers of a city? You can live out this flight of fancy, quite literally, with Singapore Heli Services. Charter a helicopter and be whisked away on a 45-minute sightseeing tour of our most iconic landmarks, including Marina Bay Sands®, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, the Singapore Zoo, and the Southern Islands—all with running commentary from the pilot. You won’t find better panoramas of the city than cruising 1,000 feet in the air.

GX-5 Extreme Swing & Trampoline Bungy
Feel the wind in your hair and the knots tighten in your stomach as you’re propelled 60 metres into the sky and back down again—the GX-5 Trampoline Bungy is only for those with nerves of steel.
Beside it, the GX-5 Extreme Swing offers a hair-raising ride above the Clarke Quay district. Get strapped in an open-air capsule as it careens at 120 km/h, with a 50-metre free fall in the mix, over the Singapore River. The ride boasts a 100% safety record, so you needn’t fret if you have a fear of heights.
Famished after all the rides? Fuel up on melt-in-your-mouth pork ribs and peppery herbal soup at the nearby Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, or sink your fingers into an oversized dish of chilli crab at JUMBO Seafood. For those with the stamina for more thrills and spills, join the party at Zouk.

You’re not actually flying at iFly Singapore, but it’ll feel as though you are. The skydiving simulator lets you experience the heady rush of spiralling down from 12,000 feet in the air. Geared up with a flight suit, helmet and goggles, you enter a five-storey-high tunnel as blasts of wind keep you afloat while you somersault and pirouette in mid-air. Children have to be above seven years old to ‘fly’.
If you are travelling with kids, iFly is a hop, skip and a jump away from many other family-friendly activities on Sentosa. Let the little ones unleash their creativity and run amok at the nearby KidZania Singapore, or snap photos with wax celebrities at Madame Tussauds Singapore.

Clip 'n Climb Home TeamNS Tampines
Flex your muscles and stabilise your footing as you take on one of the 19 colourful themed climbing walls at Clip 'n Climb Home TeamNS Tampines.
This indoor climbing theme park uses an automatic belay system, which allows daredevils to climb without having to waste time in long queues. Even the kids can play superhero and scale the walls, provided they weigh above ten kilograms.
To really put your skills to the test, take up the challenge at the Dry Ice wall: Two ‘ice picks’ (a pair of wooden sticks) are the only tools you have to make your way to the top.
Also known as one of our ‘cycling towns’, Tampines is a great neighbourhood to explore on two wheels. Download a local bike sharing app (SGbike is a good bet), then cycle through the Park Connector Network that leads to either Bedok Reservoir Park or East Coast Park.

Rock climbing at Dairy Farm Nature Park
If you consider yourself an experienced outdoor climber, then head over to Dairy Farm Nature Park to feel chalk and rock on your fingertips as you climb. Check out the natural quarry in the park, where the local climbing community has marked out and bolted dozens of routes for lead climbing.
Before your visit, be sure to hit up the Dairy Farm Climbing Group Facebook page to check up on route access conditions and, perhaps, make some new friends.
After conquering the cliffs, explore the rest of the 63-hectare Dairy Farm Nature Park. There are multiple hiking trails and a separate mountain biking trail to take on, as well as a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna to check out.
