According to business travel management company Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the demand for meetings and events is set to grow between five and 10 per cent in 2019, and the average size of meetings will rise in nearly every region. We round up the top venues in Singapore that cater to events with high turnout of 10,000 or more.

Sands Expo® and Convention Centre

Situated in the heart of the Central Business District, the Sands Expo® and Convention Centre (Sands Expo), part of Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands integrated resort, is an award-winning venue.

With 120,000 square metres of event space, the venue can host conventions for up to 45,000 delegates, support 2,000 exhibition booths and accommodate 250 meeting rooms. Sands Expo also features the largest ballroom in Southeast Asia that can accommodate 11,000 guests. Be it intimate meetings or huge conventions, its roster of meeting spaces is highly flexible and can be tailored to diverse event needs.

Another plus is that it is housed alongside world-class entertainment, shopping, dining, and accommodation options under one roof. Other attractions such as Gardens by the Bay and Singapore’s national performing arts centre, Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay are within walking distance. 

The multi-award winning Sands Expo is the first green venue in Southeast Asia to attain ISO 20121 certification for event sustainability management. Singapore EXPO and MAX Atria

A five-minute drive from Changi Airport, the Singapore EXPO is one of the largest purpose-built MICE facilities in the island-city.

Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre

Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (Suntec Singapore) is an award-winning facility offering 42,000 square metres of flexible space.

Its central location in the heart of the city is hard to beat. A 20-minute drive from Changi Airport, Suntec Singapore is within walking distance to some 5,200 hotel rooms, 1,000 retail outlets, 300 restaurants, six museums, and Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay . 

Event space options at Suntec Singapore includes a column-free Convention Hall that accommodates up to 10,000 delegates, a customisable exhibition hall, meeting rooms, a 596-seat theatre, and a multi-purpose ballroom for up to 1,800 guests.
