What are the most exciting innovations of tomorrow and how will they revolutionise the way we think and do business? How can one stay abreast of these advancements to harness them at the right time for our business? When dealing with faceless cyber threats, how can we stay one step ahead to keep our digital assets safe?

In this age of rapid technological changes, there are no easy answers to these questions.

Fortunately, for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and media professionals, there is ConnecTech Asia 2018 which encompasses three main components – CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia, and a new section, NXTAsia, which will offer experiential showcases of new-to-market innovations and solutions.

Billed as one of Asia’s marquee events for professionals in media, technology and business, the mammoth three-day event will take place from 26 to 28 June 2018 across two locations — Marina Bay Sands Singapore and Suntec Singapore.

ConnecTech’s conference component, The Summit, offers an agenda of thought-provoking panel discussions and keynotes across all three events as well as valuable opportunities to network with like-minded peers. Notable Summit  highlights include the following:

As new ideas emerge, the modern consumer evolves. And in the telecommunications sector, savvy customers are always demanding for network services that are better, faster and more stable.

As part of CommunicAsia, notable panel discussions at The Summit include ‘Disruptors Dialogue: Breaking Free from the Connectivity-Driven Competition’, which will focus on how telcos and disruptors can come out on top by working hand in hand, melding expertise and perspectives to inspire stronger innovations.

Panellists include Abishek Gupta, founder of Circles.Life, Singapore’s fourth and newest mobile operator, and Zoran Vasiljev, chief strategy officer of Axiata Digital Services, a business arm of the Malaysian telco that invests in digital disruptors.

Rounding up the panel is Kairat Akhmetov, who founded and developed Nommi, the world’s first mobile router to offer 4G hotspot and unlimited Wi-Fi worldwide.

Attendees can also look forward to exhibitor profiles that cut across broadband and infrastructure, satellite solutions, 5G, fibre communications and photonics, among others.

BroadcastAsia is for broadcast and media pros looking to ride the wave of digital disruption to reinvent their businesses.

At The Summit, Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, will deliver a keynote on how dynamic brand expansion practices have aided ONE Championship’s emergence as the No. 1 global sports media property in Asia.

In the competitive over-the-top (OTT) field, speakers and panellists will present learnings from how a regional OTT player set itself apart from competitors and attract customers, and trade expertise on important monetisation strategies.

Other topics to be discussed are Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning for broadcasting, broadcast Internet of Things (IoT), video optimisation on Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network functions virtualization (NFV), and Internet Protocol (IP) broadcasting.

At The Exhibition, visitors will meet exhibitors handling production, digital display, content management, distribution and delivery, as well as OTT.
