With Christmas markets, carols and good cheer all around, Christmas at Gardens by the Bay is magical fun.

The annual Christmas Wonderland is a must-see highlight of Singapore’s exciting year-end celebrations, bringing festive cheer to more than three million visitors of all ages since its debut in 2014.

This year’s festivities take place from 29 November to 26 December, and visitors to this Yuletide wonderland will be able to immerse themselves in a plethora of exciting games, activities and unforgettable sights.

Taking place on a massive fairground that spans the space of eight football fields, Christmas Wonderland is home to unforgettable sights and Yule-themed festivals galore.

Christmas Wonderland’s stunning luminarie sculptures make a return this year, and will be hard to miss when you visit. Handcrafted by Italian craftsmen with white wood from Tuscany, these structures are certainly a sight to behold. Santa’s workshop—located within a forest snow globe—will enthral your little ones with the spectacle of Father Christmas and his elves wrapping presents for kids. year’s event will also feature brand new attraction that make for great selfie opportunities and family photos. The Walk of Peace is a 50-metre tunnel illuminated with over 60,000 light bulbs, while Mistletoe Alley will be festooned with festive decorations.

Family fun and theatrical performances

Get in the holiday mood, be sure to check out the Christmas Parade. This lively celebration will feature some of the season’s most iconic characters, including reindeers, elves and Santa Claus himself. The parade will take place from Fridays to Sundays, as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Regardless of when you’re visiting, you’ll be immersed in the festival’s nostalgic ambience, with fairground favourites like carousels and carnival games. Those who prefer to take things up a notch can buckle up for a ride in bumper cars or hop onboard the Mini Viking.

This year’s Christmas Wonderland will also present visitors with four family-friendly performances at the Meadow Theatre, including acts by critically-acclaimed circus performers Trash Test Dummies and mesmerising magical feats by illusionist Vitaly Beckman.

For a bout of Christmas carolling, be sure to visit the Cassa Armonica gazebo, where you’ll be serenaded with performances by local singers, celebrities and choir groups.

Whether you’re hankering for festive dishes or looking to do some holiday shopping, Christmas Wonderland will certainly bring about good cheer.

Modelled after renowned Christmas markets like Hyde Park in London, the space’s charming, European-style wooden huts will offer a selection of craft goods, delicious food and limited-edition drinks by vendors like Brewerkz and Haagen Däaz.

Before you leave, drop by the Flower Dome, where a whimsical foray into the Nordic region awaits you. This enchanting floral display of colourful poinsettias and winter blooms also features installations modelled after iconic landmarks from countries like Sweden, Denmark and Finland
