The Floating Donut
You don’t have to set sail on a luxury yacht to delight in a feast out at sea. The Floating Donut’s specially crafted donut-shaped boats come equipped with a barbecue pit and a captain who will lead your party through the waters off Siloso Beach in Sentosa. Each boat can accommodate up to nine guests, and your food and drink needs are catered for—all you have to do during your 90-minute ride (S$28-S$188) is soak up the sun while the waves gently rock the anchored vessel.

NOX Dine in the Dark
When you can’t see, your other senses are elevated. That’s the premise of NOX Dine in the Dark, a dinner-only fine dining restaurant that cloaks its dining room in pitch-blackness. But not to worry, NOX hires visually impaired waiters to guide you to your table before a procession of refined European dishes is served. Slow-braised shortribs, tea-smoked duck confit and morel mushroom panna cotta are just a few dishes you’ll be tasting sans your sense of sight. Dining on Cloud 9
While the city is home to many rooftop restaurants and bars, the view from a cable car hanging 60 metres above ground takes the cake. At Faber Peak Singapore’s Dining on Cloud 9, tuck into a four-course, European-inspired meal (S$288-S$488 per couple) in a private cabin as you hover between Mount Faber and Sentosa. Take in panoramic views between dishes such as chilled king prawns and almond-crusted Chilean sea bass.

Spot shipping containers repurposed into food stalls, splashed with colourful graffiti, at Timbre+. The semi-al fresco gastropark is reminiscent of our hawker scene, but with a modern take on local and international dishes. NamNam GO! serves Vietnamese street food dishes such as pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), while CHAR Express is a Cantonese roast meat joint that uses both Asian and Western techniques to achieve melt-in-your-mouth slices of char siew (roasted pork). The best time to visit is in the evening when the park comes to life, with local musicians taking the stage well into the night.

This isn’t your usual dinner and a show. ANDSOFORTH is a pop-up restaurant that puts together intimate theatrical feasts, where actors, musicians and magicians perform a story to entertain you as you eat. The themes and location change with every iteration, but to give you an idea of what to expect, the troupe’s previous dinner retold the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. Guests were invited to join the Mad Hatter’s tea party and frolic with the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat and Alice herself. Come dressed according to theme to immerse yourself in this novel experience.

Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora
Be enthralled by schools of manta rays and leopard sharks swooping past your table when you dine at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora. The seafood-leaning restaurant shares the space with the S.E.A. Aquarium™’s Open Ocean exhibit, so you’ll see underwater creatures performing their aquatic acrobatics from behind floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Set menus are priced from S$58 for lunch and S$108 for dinner, and feature a range of sustainably sourced meat and seafood, including chef Cora’s signature dish: black pepper beef prime cuts with bamboo shoots.
