Smart Health Asia 2026
Smart Health Asia 2026 made its debut in Singapore, bringing together healthcare leaders, providers, technology companies and innovators from across Asia Pacific to explore how digital transformation is reshaping healthcare delivery. Held from 1 to 2 July 2026 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, the inaugural event created a new platform for the region’s healthcare ecosystem to exchange perspectives, discover innovations and build partnerships.
The event welcomed more than 3,000 visitors from 38 countries, including over 300 decision-makers from leading hospitals across Asia Pacific. Nearly 150 C-suite speakers participated in more than 90 panel sessions, while the exhibition showcased innovations spanning digital health, healthtech and medtech.
Smart Health Asia brought together international healthcare businesses with decision-makers, clinical leaders and healthcare partners from across Asia Pacific, creating opportunities to engage key markets across the region.
"Singapore is a natural gateway to Asia Pacific and connects some of the world's fastest-growing healthcare markets," said Kym Chua, Executive Director, Messe Berlin Asia Pacific. "Launching Smart Health Asia here allows us to convene international and regional stakeholders all in one location to exchange ideas, showcase innovation, and build partnerships that can drive healthcare transformation across Asia."
For Dr Alastair McLean, Vice President Marketing APAC at Stryker, the concentration of healthcare stakeholders at Smart Health Asia provided significant business value.
"Smart Health Asia gives us direct access to decision-makers, clinical leaders, and health system partners that matter most to our growth across the region," he said. "That concentration of the right audience is something you simply cannot replicate through individual market engagements."
He added that engaging multiple buyer segments simultaneously helped accelerate relationship-building and shorten the path from awareness to adoption of products, services and technologies.
More than 2,000 business conversations and meetings took place over the two-day event, reinforcing the value of bringing senior healthcare stakeholders together in one location.
Innovation was a key theme throughout Smart Health Asia 2026, with the exhibition showcasing the latest technology applications across the sector – from AI and predictive analytics to remote patient monitoring, medtech devices, electronic health records, telehealth platforms and system integration solutions.
The conference programme also explored how digital innovation is changing healthcare delivery, while keeping patients at the centre of care.
For Dr Muzafariman Mydin, Chief Medical Officer at KPJ Kuala Selangor Specialist Hospital, the event offered an opportunity to discover practical innovations and connect with technology partners.
"I'm here to discover practical innovations and connect with technology partners," he said. "I hope to bring these ideas back to our hospital so we can continue improving patient care and provide the best possible service to our community."
Singapore's reputation for trust, connectivity, safety and neutrality created an environment where international and regional healthcare stakeholders could exchange perspectives and build partnerships.
"These qualities make it a trusted meeting place for international partnerships," said Chua.
Dr Madhu Sasidhar, President & CEO, Hospitals Division at Apollo Hospitals, highlighted the value of bringing diverse healthcare perspectives together in Singapore.
"I think a platform like Smart Health Asia matters because it brings together a very diverse set of opinions," he said. "Singapore's position as a global Asia node makes it one of the most powerful convening environments in the world for healthcare conversations that need to be both globally informed and regionally relevant."
For Dr McLean, Singapore also provided a credible and neutral base from which to engage healthcare stakeholders across the region.
"An event of this calibre, held in Singapore, gives us a credible and neutral platform to engage across all of them from a single, strategically positioned base."
Smart Health Asia's inaugural edition in Singapore also marked the beginning of an expanding international healthcare platform.
Building on its Singapore debut, Smart Health Asia will return in July 2027 alongside the premiere of Smart Pharma Asia, a dedicated platform connecting pharmaceutical innovation with digital health, healthtech and medtech.
With its strong regional connectivity, trusted environment and access to Asia Pacific's healthcare ecosystem, Singapore provided the ideal foundation for Smart Health Asia to foster collaboration among healthcare leaders, innovators and decision-makers across markets.
Beyond the connections made and conversations held, the event also created an opportunity for healthcare leaders to reflect on the broader challenges shaping the future of the sector. As Dr Sasidhar shared: "Healthcare is about humans taking care of other humans. How do we keep the patient at the centre of everything that we do?"
By enabling these perspectives to come together, Singapore demonstrated its value as a meeting place where industry leaders, professionals and innovators can exchange knowledge, address shared challenges and advance conversations shaping the future of healthcare.
