Re-work, Re-conceptualise, Re-interpret

Themed Re-Imagine, this year’s forum was aimed at spurring event professionals towards embracing new and radical ways of organising events.

The 1.5-day forum featured high-level speaker presentations, thought provoking panel discussions and networking sessions for the regional MICE professionals.

This year’s programme introduced a strong line-up of international and Asian speakers. Invited speakers included Aloysius Arlando, Group CEO of SingEx Holdings, Oscar Cerezales, Chief Operating Officer of MCI (Asia Pacific), Deborah Sexton, President & CEO of Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director of UFI.

These thought leaders and influencers came together to discuss and debate myriad topics that are prevalent in the MICE industry. Key topics included Marketing: Sponsors to Partners, Digital Strategy, Growth and Experiential Design.

SACEOS president Janet Tan-Collis, believes that SMF 2016 will further enhance an event professional’s strong operations skills by helping them think outside the box and deliver unconventional ideas that work. “An event for leaders by leaders, SMF 2016 served as a powerful platform where leaders of our industry co-create content and co-explore business and growth opportunities,” she added.

The sixth edition of SMF 2016 was successfully staged and attracted more than 450 local, regional and international MICE and events professionals.
