One of the first authentic Chinese-style seafood restaurants in Singapore to offer a Halal menu, Home of Seafood has built a strong following of local and international fans.

They are famed for their award-winning crab dishes, prepared in a variety of mouth-watering flavours such as black pepper sauce, chilli, and salted egg. For big groups, order the Claypot Bee Hoon Crab—a massive bowl of glistening goodness that is excellent for sharing. Other crowd pleasers include curry fish head and stir-fried lala (clams) with sambal (spicy chilli paste).

Smith Marine

For an unconventional dining experience, take a 15-minute boat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Smith Marine—a modern kelong (floating fish farm) restaurant located off the coast of Pulau Ubin.

Having a massive seafood craving? Then head to Carousel, voted as the best buffet restaurant in Singapore and well-known for its sumptuous Halal-certified spread.

One of the star attractions is undoubtedly the chilled seafood counter swimming with an endless flow of Canadian oysters, Maine lobsters, snow crab legs, tiger prawns, Pacific white clams and Australian black mussels. Check out the Japanese station for various freshly-sliced sashimi and the hot food stations for delectable dishes like chilli crab and scallop risotto.

Dad’s Corner

Known for their shellout dining experience, Dad’s Corner is a casual family-friendly eatery popular among the Muslim community.

Come in a party of four or more to try their seafood bag which holds a tantalising spread of flower crabs, mussels, prawns, clams, gong gong (conch) and corn cooked in your choice of gravy: black pepper sauce, chilli crab sauce or garlic butter cream. This set also comes with free flow rice so you are ensured a hearty meal.

No plates or utensils are provided for this shellout feast so get ready to dig in with your bare hands for some finger licking goodness.

Isuramuya Japanese Restaurant

Sashimi and sushi lovers will want to bookmark Isuramuya for authentic Halal-certified Japanese food prepared with ingredients flown directly from Japan.

For starters, sample the raw o’toro (tuna belly) and hamachi (yellowtail) for that divine melt-in-your-mouth texture. Follow up with perennial favourites such as spider maki (soft shell crab sushi roll), salmon ikura don (salmon roe on rice) and ebi tempura (deep-fried prawns).

They also have an onsite marketplace where you can purchase specialty foodstuffs imported from Japan if you want to try your hand at recreating the dishes at home.

Yassin Kampung

Helmed by a Chinese Muslim chef boasting more than 30 years of culinary experience, Yassin Kampung is a cosy family restaurant offering authentic Singaporean delicacies. 

Spice lovers will get a satisfying kick out of the BBQ sambal stingray and Sichuan ma la fried crab—seasoned with tongue-numbing peppercorns. Other sedap (delicious) signatures include its crispy oat prawns and three flavoured fish—deep fried garoupa doused with a tasty mix of sweet, spicy and sour sauces.
