End 2018 with a party you’ll not soon forget! The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown returns, to usher in the new year with fireworks displays lighting up the night sky alongside a host of exciting activities on the streets. Revellers can expect a feast of great food, unmissable fun activities and live performances by some of the island-state’s most beloved entertainers.

Pick a spot around the stunning waterfront for the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown, including countdown hotspots at ArtScience Museum™, Ocean Financial Centre, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore and Singapore’s iconic Merlion at the Merlion Park.

Apart from the crowd favourite fireworks displays, party-goers can enjoy projections of community art works by LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, themed ‘Bay of Hopes & Dreams’. The projections are scheduled from 26 to 31 December at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, and 29 to 31 December at the ArtScience Museum™ and Merlion Park.

For the first time at Marina Bay Sands Countdown, Intel will put up a Drone Show, a five-minute visual treat on New Year’s Eve.

Watch fireworks ignite in a riot of colours over Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay at the Star island fireworks show by Avex. Hailing from Japan, this one-and-a-half hour extravaganza at the Float@Marina Bay merges traditional fireworks with cutting-edge technology and an immersive soundscape. The five-hour event happens on 31st December and includes roving performances, DJ acts and an electric party atmosphere.

Feeling peckish on New Year’s Eve? Check out the convoy of food trucks dishing out regional cuisine on 31st December. Dig in while enjoying live band performances, movie screenings and a range of fitness activities by the Singapore Health Promotion Board. The event will take place along Connaught Drive, between Esplanade Park and the Padang.

Those looking for both fun and games can head over to the Marina Bay Carnival. Held at the Bayfront Event Space, the carnival’s sophomore edition boasts four thrilling new rides alongside classic offerings, and runs from 22 December 2018 to 24 March 2019.

Taking place at the Promontory is Celebrate 2019 by national broadcaster MediaCorp, which will feature performances by a constellation of Singapore’s home-grown stars, including indie pop sensation Gentle Bones and fashion icon Fiona Fussi. This event is free, and you can catch the complimentary live broadcast at the MBS Event Plaza.

Another event worth checking out is Celebrate December@Esplanade. Singapore’s premier performance art centre hosts a smorgasbord of activities that you can participate in with friends, family and loved ones, including free music performances, craft workshops and interactive storytelling sessions. The event culminates in the New Year’s Eve countdown at Marina Bay.
