Gran Prix Singapore Style Stitch Competition Terms & Conditions (Game of Skill)

  1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


  1. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over only.
  2. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time to invalidate any entries which it reasonably suspects have been submitted using false, incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, including but not limited to personal details and contact information and/or entries that have been submitted through the use of multiple identities, email addresses or accounts, including but not limited to social networking accounts.
  5. Entries/posts which are deemed incomplete, plagiarised, defamatory or indecipherable will be deemed invalid.
  6. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

How to enter

  1. The promotion commences at 9:00am AEST on Monday 18 July 2022 and final entries close at 11:59pm AEST on Friday 29 July 2022 (“Promotional Period”).
  2. To enter the competition, you must complete the following steps during the promotional period:
    1. Stitch @Visit_Singapore's competition video to your competition submission and upload it to your TikTok account. Your account and competition submission must be made public.
    2. Follow @Visit_Singapore, tag @Visit_Singapore and include #GranPrixSG in your post.
  3. Multiple entries per individual are permitted.

Selecting a winner

  1. There will be one (1) winner determined. The judging will take place at Level 11, 47 York Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 at 2:00pm AEST on Tuesday 2 August 2022. The judges may select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order of merit, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant. For the removal of doubt, no judging will be conducted during the weekend or on a public holiday in NSW and any such judging/s will occur on the following business day in NSW.
  2. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. The winner will be selected from the pool of eligible entries which comply with these terms and demonstrate creativity and originality (as determined by the Promoter in our absolute discretion). Each entry will be individually judged based on their submission.
  3. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Awarding the prize

  1. The winner will be notified by direct message on TikTok by Thursday 4 Aug 2022, 11:59pm AEST.
  2. The winning entry, as determined by the judges, will receive a booking reference number for a travel package from Australia to Singapore consisting of a pair of return economy flight tickets (29 September - 3 October 2022), 4 nights' twin accommodation at Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay (29 September - 3 October 2022) and a pair of Bay Grandstand tickets to watch the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix (30 Sep - 2 Oct 2022) as provided by Keith Prowse Travel ( A half day tour with one of the grandmothers will also be arranged by The Promoter.
  3. The winning Entrant has 48 hours from the time and date of notification to respond and claim the prize. If for any reason the winner does not respond and claim the prize, it will be given to the second-best entry as determined by the judges.
  4. The promoter will not be held accountable should the prize not be redeemed by the winner.
  5. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  6. All travelling parties including the winner must abide by the prevailing travel requirements of the departing city in Australia and Singapore. The full guidelines of travelling to Singapore can be found on Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoint Authority's Safe Travel website: By entering the competition, you agree to adhere to these requirements.
  7. Further, all travelling parties including the winner agree and acknowledge that there may be public health related risks associated with the travel to Singapore such as exposure to an infectious disease and risk of being subject to quarantine requirements, and they agree to release, absolve and forever discharge the Promotor, its officers, agents and representatives from all and any responsibility, actions, claims, demands, obligations and/or liability arising from any loss or damage (including without limitation and to the extent permissible by law, physical injury, infection, loss of life or property damage) sustained by any of the travelling parties or caused as a result of the travelling parties' participation in the travel, or the modification, suspension or cancellation of the prize due to a public health emergency.

Changing the competition

  1. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, epidemics, pandemics or other public health risks or emergencies, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion or the prize, as appropriate.


  1. Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for any materials they submit via the promotion including but not limited to comments, recordings, photos and videos (“Content”). The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law. The Promoter may remove or decline to publish any Content without notice for any reason whatsoever. Entrants warrant and agree that: (a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication; (b) their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; (c) they will obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property that appears in their Content; (d) they will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Content to the uses contemplated by these Terms and Conditions, and the Content does not infringe the rights of any third party; (e) they consent to any use of the Content which may otherwise infringe the Content creator's/creators' moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights; and (f) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems. Without limiting any other terms herein, the entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for any breach of the above terms.
  2. As a condition of entering this promotion, each entrant licenses and grants the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (which shall include Content) for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.
  3. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  4. Any cost associated with accessing the Internet in relation to this promotion is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
  5. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
  6. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
  7. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of/taking/redeeming a prize.
