Medical Fair Asia 2018 set to be the region’s biggest to date
Southeast Asia’s premier medical and healthcare trade fair is set to return to Singapore for its 12th instalment, with an aim to welcome 15,000 delegates to its biggest show yet. The biennial event was last held here in 2016 with 12,100 event attendees from 63 countries.
Organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia Pte Ltd, Medical Fair Asia is widely regarded as the most established international marketplace for the healthcare and medical field. With a strong focus on equipment and supplies for hospitals as well as the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation fields, the three-day exhibition will be held at Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 29 to 31 August 2018, and provides an ideal platform for industry leaders to connect, network and do business.
Running concurrently with Medical Fair Asia is Medical Manufacturing Asia 2018. Attendees can expect a display of products ranging from new materials, components, and packaging to micro- and nanotechnology, testing systems, and services related to medical technology at this specialist trade event.
Attendees may also attend a host of forums and conferences held alongside Medical Fair Asia 2018, where the latest trends in the healthcare and med-tech field will be discussed, and the latest scientific advancements and technical developments showcased by leading industry players.
One such session is the Medicine + Sports Conference, which will see sports medicine experts from various disciplines gather for discussions on topics such as sports medical therapies, new approaches in performance data, as well as the newest innovations in medical devices and wearable technologies.
Meanwhile, the Medical Innovation & Technology Forum, which caters to physicians and healthcare professionals, will highlight developments in treatment methods, such as robotic surgery, and how it can help patients to achieve a faster recovery and shorter post-surgery downtime.
Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) may be interested to attend the annual MedTech Workshop, which is organised by the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association to provide medtech start-ups and SMEs practical guidance and insights into the opportunities and challenges of marketing their medical breakthroughs.
