4 Gardens by the Bay

In the afternoon, take a walk through the verdant greenery of Gardens by the Bay. Spread across 101-hectares of land and comprising three distinct waterfront gardens, this attraction is home to both man-made and natural splendours.

Nature lovers will get to expand their knowledge of flora at the Flower Dome, home to 32,000 plants from 160 species. Other attractions include the misty marvels of the Cloud Forest and the towering structures of the Supertree Grove.

With décor that pays homage to the ‘80s and ‘90s, this arcade bar and disco is bound to take you on a trip to nostalgia town. The bar’s main draw is undoubtedly its collection of arcade cabinets, which allow visitors to team up (or square off!) against their friends—new and old—in classic games like Street Fighter and Metal Slug.

7 Odette

With three Michelin stars to its name, Odette offers visitors an experience that transcends mere taste. The exquisitely-plated dishes here are a feast for the eyes, and chef Julien Royer’s masterful culinary skills turn top-notch produce into artful Modern French cuisine.

Be sure to sample the signature pigeon dish—available year-round—as well as the Promenade À Singapour, made from locally farmed and foraged greens. The former is made with pigeons that are specially-bred in the small French village of Plounéour-Ménez, a testament to Chef Royer’s commitment to his craft and the quality of the produce used here.

8 National Gallery Singapore

Spend the rest of the day hunting for inspiration at National Gallery Singapore. Occupying Singapore’s former City Hall and Supreme Court, the gallery is home to over 8,000 art pieces from Singapore and across Southeast Asia. Visitors will be able to delve into the works of some of Singapore’s most important artists, including Georgette Chen and Liu Kang.

9 Smoke & Mirrors

In the evening, head to the roof of the National Gallery, where you’ll find Smoke & Mirrors. 

With an alfresco area overlooking the cityscape of Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and Marina Bay Sands^®, this elegant rooftop bar is the perfect place to wind down with a quiet conversation, cocktail in hand.

Head bartender Jorge Conde’s wildly-imaginative cocktails take their inspiration from pop culture, movie starlets and surrealist artists. The Heart of Vincent—inspired by Post-impressionist painter Van Gogh—employs ingredients like quinine and pickled purslane to lend it an earthy taste, while Dali’s Self Portrait uses bacon fat and burnt rosemary to evoke a sense of surrealism.
