Looking for a fresh pair of kicks to add to your ever-growing collection? We have just the guide for a self-professed sneakerhead: From basketball high tops that have set the internet abuzz to exclusive collaborations, here are where you can lay your hands on that sneaker holy grail.

Go where locals go

If you’re not looking to make a dent in your wallet but still score some cool designs, go where the locals go. At Queensway Shopping Centre (1 Queensway), you can get sneakers, racquets and sporting apparel at rock-bottom prices. Sure, most of the shops sell last season’s leftovers, but the affordable price tag makes this mall a must visit during your stay here. We recommend visiting Athletes Domain (#01-27). Here’s a little tip: The messier the shop, the more likely you are to get a discount.

But if it is the latest trends you are after, you’ll will want to make a beeline for LE Way, an outpost of the popular Limited Edt (a premier destination for the most exclusive lifestyle and sports footwear) brand. This store stocks Nike SB, Supra, Vans, DC, Converse and adidas. Don’t be afraid to haggle in this Queensway Shopping Centre – possibly the only mall you can do so in Singapore.

There is also no shortage of sport stores in Peninsula Shopping Centre (3 Coleman Street), a mall that houses many affordable athletic wares in the Central Business District. Our favourite would be Limited Edt Peninsula (#01-09), which is filled with the latest kicks from around the world.

More sneaker options

Established in 2003, Leftfoot (#02-07A Orchard Cineleisure, 8 Grange Road) is Singapore’s first specialty sneaker store in Singapore to offer limited edition shoes — models made in small batches and now highly collectible in this part of the world —  think Nike Air Force Ones. Leftfoot is one of the most popular shops among hardcore sneakerheads in Singapore, and it’s clear why: every brand stocked in Leftfoot has been carefully selected for their quality and are potential trendsetters.

While kids come to Leftfoot’s Orchard Road outposts for Vans, New Balance and Nike sneakers, the more discerning sneakerheads, like popular sneaker artist SBTG aka Mark Ong, visit the store to get their grubs on the trendier high-end kicks. Its rows of towering timber-coloured shelves that displays an exceptional shoe collection. Rare finds include the punk-inspired black-and-white George Cox loafers and sturdy Red Wing boots.

If you are searching for something rare, visit Limited Edt Chamber at Marina Bay Sands (#B2-112 Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Ave). The flagship store’s elegant interiors scream exclusive as it shines the spotlight on designer collaborations such as adidas YEEZY BOOST by Kanye West series as well as Puma Mihara collection and the James Bond for David Beckham collections.
