Some local favourites include Haron 30 Satay, where you can get grilled meat skewers with a side of homemade ketupat (rice cakes) and peanut sauce, and Kampong Rojak for a taste of rojak (a traditional vegetable salad dish; the word ‘rojak’ also means ‘eclectic mix’ in colloquial Malay) that features a generous serving of you tiao (fried dough fritters), peanuts, mixed with their signature prawn paste.
