Singapore was surrendered to the Imperial Japanese Army on 15 February 1942 and suffered 3 ½ years of Japanese occupation. By 1945 however, the tide had turned against the Imperial Japanese Army with the dropping of atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On 12 September 1945, the Imperial Japanese Army officially surrendered their forces in Singapore, marking the end of the war. This Commemorative Tour has been put together with the ANZACs and their families in mind.
