LABRADOR PARK
MRT : Harbourfront (North East Line - Station NE1)

This 16.8 hectare park lush with tropical flora and fauna was once a formidable Fort protecting Singapore Harbour. As you walk through the park today, you will discover old gun emplacements, war damaged ammunition chambers, a maze of underground tunnels and storyboards detailing its rich military history.

REFLECTIONS AT BUKIT CHANDU
MRT : Harbourfront (North East Line - Station NE1)

A unique interpretive centre dedicated to the heroes of the Malay Regiment, it showcases galleries, 3-D exhibits, a binaural sound effect show and holograms depicting a soldier's true experience of war. You will walk away emotionally charged as you relive the pain and horrors of the Battle of Pasir Panjang.

FORT SILOSO (SENTOSA)
MRT : Harbourfront (North East Line - Station NE1)

Fort Siloso was built in the 19 th Century to work in tandem with Fort Labrador. Today, it is Singapore's largest military-themed site which showcases the original barracks, casemates, artillery guns and underground magazines where ammunition was stored. Also featured is the "Surrender Chambers" exhibition.

ALEXANDRA HOSPITAL
MRT : Harbourfront (North East Line - Station NE1). Take bus no. 61 or 100 from bus stop near Exit B and alight 8 stops later at the hospital

Japanese troops stormed the Hospital on the 14 th and 15 th of February1942 and massacred more than 200 staff and war casualties. The hospital has retained its original façade. Though the underground shelters are now sealed, the entrances are still visible, and a memorial plaque stands in the front garden to commemorate the horrific massacre.

KRANJI WAR CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL
MRT : Kranji (North South Line - Station NS7)

A grand memorial which honours all men who sacrificed their lives for freedom during World War II. Over 4000 marked graves stand in neat rows on manicured lawns. 12 columns bear the names of more than 24,000 soldiers and airforce men who perished but whose bodies were never found.

THE JAPANESE CEMETERY PARK
MRT : Ang Mo Kio (North South Line - Station NS 16)

Tastefully landscaped and set in a quiet residential district, many of the Japanese who lost their lives during the war are buried here.

KRANJI RESERVOIR PARK
It was from this vantage point that frontline Australian troops and local Chinese volunteers valiantly defended the coastline against the Japanese Army. The attack is detailed on a memorial board erected at the park.

BUKIT BATOK NATURE PARK
The Japanese Shinto Shrine and Memorial as well as an Allied Memorial once stood at this park. Today, both have been demolished and a transmitter station stands in their place. However, a large World War II memorial is set into the steps leading up to the station.

OLD FORD MOTOR FACTORY
Of greatest significance was the historical meeting at this site between Yamashita and Percival which took place on 15 th February 1942 and led to the sad surrender of Singapore to the Japanese. Though not accessible to the public today, the original motor factory can still be viewed clearly from the outside.
